Oleg Goldshmidt joined TrapX in 2014, originally as Chief Product Architect, and was instrumental in building the product from the ground up. Before TrapX, Oleg held leading R&D positions in various industries. At IBM Research, he led design of some of the world’s fastest supercomputers, novel server architectures, and highly scalable provisioning systems. As the Chief System Architect at Voltaire, he designed ultra-high-performance InfiniBand and Ethernet switches. In the financial industry, he led development of the option pricing products on the Bloomberg system and of unique algorithms and platforms for optimal order execution and pricing in FX markets. Oleg holds a PhD in Physics from Tel Aviv University. He held postdoctoral positions at Pennsylvania State University and the Institute of Theoretical Physics at University of California, Santa Barbara. Oleg has taught at Haifa University and currently lectures at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya. Oleg has authored more than 30 academic papers and multiple patents.
